1. Warming up
Everything begins with a gentle settling into the hot room. The steam, scented with eucalyptus, opens the pores, relaxes the muscles and prepares the skin for treatment. About ten minutes is enough to slip into a different tempo.
2. The black soap
Made from black olives macerated in potash, black soap is a deep cleanser rich in vitamin E. Applied generously, it is left on for a few minutes to soften dead cells and prepare for the scrub.
3. The kessa glove scrub
This is the most recognisable gesture of the hammam. The tightly woven kessa glove clears the skin of impurities and awakens microcirculation. The result is immediate: visibly finer, smoother skin and an even complexion.
4. The rhassoul mask
This rare clay, extracted from the Atlas mountains, is mixed with rose water to form a smooth paste. Rich in silica and magnesium, it remineralises, purifies and softens. Applied to the whole body (and sometimes the hair), it seals the ritual in a moment of meditation.
